Learning Styles

Learning Styles of Kids

Kids learn best when they are taught according to their individual learning style.  How we (as our children’s teacher) present information to our children affects how well that information is processed. Everyone has a natural learning style (or combination of learning styles) that helps him or her make sense of the world around them.  Information that is presented to children according to their learning style is more likely to be understood with speed and ease and can increase retention of the learning.  Teaching that uses your child’s learning style is also sure to increase your child’s motivation for school work!

The seven basic learning styles include linguistic, mathematical, spatial, kinesthetic, musical, intrapersonal, and interpersonal. Children can fit into one of these categories or most often, be a combination of these different learning styles.

Teaching to your child’s strengths triggers increased comprehension and motivation.  Find out more about these learning styles and which style or combination of styles best fits your child’s learning needs  at our upcoming webinar
